The Jiangsu Nangao High-End CNC Machine Tools and Complete Equipment Manufacturing Industry Innovation Center is an innovation center for the manufacturing industry in Jiangsu Province, approved and established by the Jiangsu Provincial Economic and Information Commission. The Innovation Center is led by Southeast University, in collaboration with the Jiangning Development Zone and several leading companies in the province's high-end CNC machine tools and complete equipment industry. Jiangsu Nangao Intelligent Equipment Innovation Center Co., Ltd. is the operating entity of the Jiangsu Nangao High-End CNC Machine Tools and Complete Equipment Manufacturing Industry Innovation Center (hereinafter referred to as Innovation Center). Jiangsu Nangao was registered with the Jiangning District Administration for Industry and Commerce in Nanjing, Jiangsu in November 2016.

The Innovation Center is composed of universities, research institutions, industry organizations, member enterprises, and venture capital, as illustrated in Figure 1. The Innovation Center focuses on the machine tool and equipment industry, leading industrial development, breaking through common core technologies in the industry, achieving the transformation of major scientific and technological achievements, cultivating first-class professional and technical talents, and providing innovative services for key common technologies to the entire industry.
The Innovation Center has established 19 laboratories focusing on key technology areas such as intelligent design of machine tools, key component technology of machine tools, whole machine technology, operation and maintenance technology, and manufacturing technology of machine tools. It currently has over 256 R&D personnel. Since its establishment, the Innovation Center has achieved a series of research results in the field of intelligent technology for CNC machine tools and complete sets of equipment, filing for 122 patents. The Innovation Center has led the application for several national and provincial-level projects, with total project funds exceeding 180 million, and multiple projects have been accepted and reached an international advanced level. The Innovation Center has participated in the formulation of several national and group standards. Focusing on the key common technologies of CNC machine tools, the Innovation Center aims to achieve innovative breakthroughs and build a domestic leading and internationally first-class CNC machine tool theory and technology R&D center that integrates research and development, testing services, and industrial incubation.
